Viva La Revolution! The 5 C’s that will Revolutionize your Ability to Recruit, Engage and Retain Staff
Employee recruitment and retention is shaping up to be THE issue of the next decade. The latest studies show that up to 45% of the Australian workforce is actively looking for work and up to 80% is dis-engaged from their jobs. This is costing our companies millions of dollars. Combine with the looming skills shortage (predicted to reach 1.7 million by 2025, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics) your company’s ability to recruit, engage and retain the right talent could make or break your business.

Time for a revolution! The Post Industrial Revolution Revolution (PIRR) that is!

What is the PIRR? It’s a movement where companies are re-designing the way they recruit and manage their staff, allowing their workforce to be more innovative, creative and solutions oriented - to thrive and produce their best work. And enabling the companies to prosper and grow at astounding rates!

Why do we need the PIRR? The Post Industrial economy both demands innovation and creativity to solve some of the most complex business and social problems we have ever faced and allows for this higher level work to be performed by automating or outsourcing most mundane, repetitive tasks. BUT, most companies still use structures and processes to recruit and manage staff that harken back to the industrial age, causing rampant dis-engagement and employee turnover.

Kim Seeling Smith will help you join the PIRR by using the 5 C’s to recruit, engage and retain staff:

    • Hire Correctly
    • Classify and manage appropriately
    • Compensate fairly
    • Use Currencies of Choice to engage your workforce
    • Communicate using a FOCUSed framework – Frequency, Job Objectives, Career Management, Underlying Motivators and Strengths

Please join us for an engaging and entertaining session where you are guaranteed to walk away with practical steps you can take to day to better engage and retain your staff.

Additionally, I can provide executive coaching services to help your Critical People further develop their strengths and manage their careers more effectively.

The Critical Path to A Great Career
In her presentation, The Critical Path to A Great Career, Kim Seeling Smith shares the secrets to a Great Career that she learned having spent the last 17 years, working with and studying over 5,000 individuals and their careers: first as a recruiter in Australia, New Zealand and the United States and now as a Career Coach and Trainer.

In 2002 Kim become obsessed with the difference between those talented and capable people who seem to effortlessly reach their professional goals (climbing the corporate ladder, managing career around family, running a successful business or simply doing meaningful work with interesting people at great companies) and those equally talen ted and equally capable people who lose their way or lose their passion.

Was it education, experience, raw talent, personality, luck?  Kim   discovered (much to her shock) it was none of those.

She identified 4 key factors that ensure that people succeed which she now calls The Critical Path to a Great Career and she's taught these concepts to now hundreds of people with great results!

    You will learn:

    • How to develop a 3 - 5 year career plan (something only about 5% of the workforce does effectively - and the second most important step to great career management)
    • The difference between your destination (personal / professional goals) and the vehicles (jobs or careers) you can use to get there and why it's critically important to start with that destination (though most people jump right to the vehicles)
    • How to find your unique value proposition, or "special sauce" to ensure a lifetime of opportunities and employment as well as greater job satisfaction and achievement
    • Which 4 skills are essential for every business person, regardless of function or role and how to master them
    • Practical tools to "condition resilience" and easily rebound from setbacks - both personal and professional (the MOST important step to great career management)

Kim’s style is warm and engaging and this presentation is guaranteed to leave you motivated and inspired as well as giving you practical tools that you can use immediately to navigate your career safely to it’s ultimate destination.
